On April 11, 2013 we will begin a new adventure - a three week journey to China! We have about 2 weeks until then and are really getting excited. We are traveling with a company called "ChinaPlus" which has received great reviews. We will travel first nonstop to Beijing and then continue the next morning to Lhasa, Tibet. We are there for several days, just Jon and I with a guide, and then return to Beijing to join a 15 person tour. We will see the main parts of the country with them, including Xian, the Yangtze river, Shanghai, Guilin and the Li river and Chongqing, and then continue on to Hong Kong by ourselves where we will hook up with another guide and short tour. We return home on May 2.
Plan to follow along with us on this blog. As usual, I'll post photos as I can and do my best to describe our adventures along the way. We'll have internet access in most of our hotels and on our river cruise, so please email us and let us know your thoughts and reactions, as well as the news from home!
